If you use Blackboard for on-line testing, you will be interested in the Respondus Lockdown Browser. When using it, students cannot print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. When an assessment is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading. It works with Windows and Macs. And it is reported that it reduces the number of tests that must be resubmitted because of network problems.
This will be a webinar with the vendor, moderated by Jennifer Clister, our Blackboard system manager, to see if there is enough interest at UM to justify getting a University wide site license.
Lunch will be served.
