You've heard of impact factors and know to count up citations, but do you know about the h-index and eiginfactor? These are all numbers you can use to evaluate journals, researchers, institutions and individual articles. They're also being used to evaluate you and your work. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how they're calculated, how they're manipulated, their strengths and weaknesses, how to interpret them and how they're commonly misinterpreted. You’ll be able to see how you and your department measure up and check to ensure that you’re getting the credit you deserve.
